Things to ask.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current month. Annual plans get a prorated refund for unused months. No "let me transfer you to retention" calls. Email Lori, done.
What if I don’t get any calls?
Then you cancel and you stop paying. We don’t lock you in. We’ll also tell you honestly when we don’t think a category has enough traffic yet to justify the Featured tier — better for you to wait or stay on Verified.
Do you take a cut of my work?
No. The flat monthly fee is the only thing we charge. We don’t take a percentage of jobs you book, we don’t need to see your invoices, we don’t care what you charge. What happens after the phone rings is between you and the customer.
Can I pay extra to get a story written about me?
No, and we’ll tell you that to your face. Editorial coverage in Locals Know is entirely our call. Featured Pros are eligiblefor coverage, but eligibility isn’t a guarantee — and you can’t buy your way in.
What if I’m already listed on Angi or Yelp?
Keep those listings if they’re working for you — we’re additive, not exclusive. Most of our Verified Pros use LKN Life as their best local channel alongside whatever else they’re running. We just don’t share their phone number with five competitors.
How do you decide who gets featured?
Featured slots are first-come within each category, capped at five pros per category. Once a category is full, there’s a waitlist. If a Featured Pro stops paying or leaves the platform, the next on the waitlist gets the spot.
